Smart glass transforms any glass surface from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button, enabling modern and flexible control of privacy and spatial ambience. The film operates electrically and can be controlled via switch, remote control or smart home system. It is ideal for meeting rooms, offices, bathrooms, reception areas, medical practices or living spaces and offers an elegant alternative to curtains or permanent privacy solutions.

Our switchable PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) smart films offer high light transmission in transparent mode and full privacy when opaque. The film can be retrofitted onto existing glass surfaces and provides a clean, modern appearance. Smart glass enables efficient space separation, prevents unwanted views when needed and supports a high-quality, contemporary room concept. Each installation is individually planned and carried out with precision.

What exactly is smart glass?

Smart glass is regular glass that is equipped with a switchable film. When powered, the film becomes transparent; without power, it turns milky and opaque.

Can smart glass be installed on existing windows?

In many cases, yes. The smart film is applied to the interior side of the glass, the wiring is neatly routed, and it is connected to a power supply. On-site we check whether your glass is suitable.

How is smart glass controlled?

You can control smart glass using a simple wall switch, a remote control or—depending on the system—via smart home solutions. We clarify the options during the consultation.

Does smart glass also protect against sun and heat?

The matte, opaque setting reduces glare and provides slight heat reduction. If strong heat protection is required, we combine smart glass with suitable solar control films.

What are the approximate costs?

Smart glass is significantly more expensive than traditional film solutions because the technology, control system, and installation are more complex. The calculator gives you an initial price estimate; the final quote will be prepared after an on-site inspection.

How long does smart glass last?
